Millennium Engineering and Integration Company (MEI) is seeking a Next Gen Requirements Engineer for a full-time position supporting systems engineering and integration efforts at the Remote Sensing Systems Directorate, Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC/RS), at Los Angeles Air Force Base (LAAFB) in El Segundo, CA. This work is at a location in El Segundo, CA. The work requires knowledge and experience in eliciting, evaluating, documenting, and verifying requirements. This person will support the Requirements Team in support of the SMC/RS Next Gen acquisition, development, production, and sustainment programs.

Key Responsibilities

* Identify, control, maintain, and evolve requirements for the Next Gen program in the DOORS tool
* Possess knowledge and experience with space and ground systems engineering, system concepts of operations, requirements development, and requirements management activities.
* Ensure all program requirements are appropriately documented and maintained in the DOORS database and flow to the correct specifications and interfaces
* Identify all unmatched DOORS requirements for Government resolution and verify that requirements traceability and verification requirements are met
* Interface and collaborate with SE&I team members, prime contractors, other team contractors, government civilians, and members of the U.S. Air Force

Desired

* Active TS/SCI clearance
* Experience with satellite test methodologies, test scripting, and test data collection and analysis
* Experience with SMC, USAF, and DoD acquisition and Systems Engineering processes
* Thorough knowledge of hardware and software development lifecycles and test reporting CDRL development process.
* Experience with Rational DOORS administration
* Experience with databases and Sharepoint

Required

* TS clearance eligible for SCI
* Bachelors degree with eight years of experience.
* Knowledge and experience in Requirements Engineering and Requirement databases
* Excellent verbal and written communications skills as well as organizational skill.
* Strong computer skills, and must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
* Demonstrated interpersonal skills to enable working, interfacing, and interrelating with diverse personnel and dynamic teams
