Job Description

The Neurology Clinical Application Specialist is a position that Nihon Kohden America, Inc. (NKA) hires for throughout the year. By applying to this requisition, you are expressing your interest for a particular job function and would like to be contacted for future openings.

As a Neurology Clinical Applications Specialist, (NCAS) you are responsible for providing professional Clinical Applications Training and customer support. Interfacing with but not limited to NK Sales, Service, Support, IT and Project Managers to effectively implement Nihon Kohden Neurology Systems into customer sites. This includes pre and post-sales. Present a professional image with above-average customer service skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Manage time wisely and efficiently and to accomplish assignments in established timeframes
* Make travel arrangements according to company policies and for completing and submitting required program documentation as directed.
* Provide clinical training to customers on-site.
* Assemble carts and set-up PC, monitors, cameras and other accessory items.
* Update product knowledge as product operations or features change.
* Remain clinically knowledgeable and competent and for maintaining licensure.
* Provide clinical phone support during and after hours when assigned.
* Complete documentation of training and service report in a timely manner.
* Having above average PC and basic networking skills is essential.

REQUIREMENTS

* Minimum of three (3) years experience in performing Neurodiagnostic procedures.
* Must be registered in at least one of the following: EEG, NCV, LTM, IOM or PSG.
* The minimum educational requirement of an Associate Degree is highly desirable.
* A valid drivers license and a good driving record are required.
* Demonstrates excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Process a good organizational skill set.
* Presents a professional image with above-average customer service skills.
* Ability to read, analyze and interpret equipment manuals, general business periodicals or professional journals.
* Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
* Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers and other employees of the organization.
* Working knowledge of Windows PCs, is proficient in Microsoft Outlook email applications, and is efficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Office programs.
* Must be able to set-up basic networks and copy files locally and across a network.
* Willing to travel 80 - 90% of the time
* Must live near a major airport.
* Must be able to regularly lift and or move up to 50 pounds.
* Specific vision ability required by this job includes color vision.

EXPERIENCE DESIRED

* Competently perform at least two of the following modalities; EEG, PSG, NCV/EMG or IOM
* Phase II and or Phase III monitoring
