NETWORK SECURITY SYSTEMS ANALYST 2 - Seattle or Denver!

As a network security systems analyst 2 at Nordstrom, you will work on a team of highly skilled technical professions, applying a wide set of analytical, workflow, customer service and information security skills on a daily basis. You will provide technical expertise and collaborate across the organization to deliver service excellence and execute on strategic and tactical goals. The candidate will have a passion for security, be a self-starter, creative problem-solver, and committed team player.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Knowledge of Network Topology
* Knowledge of Network Security fundamentals
* Securing the network through standards and best practices
* Basic understanding of firewalls and proxy configurations
* Be a leader in the Network Security service deliver space by interacting directly with internal customers and providing a high level of service and guidance
* Lead reporting efforts to establish health of the analyst program
* In depth knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) systems
* Process requests for connectivity
* Lead self-audits for improving security and optimizing Network Security policies
* Identify and remediate gaps in the Network Security Analyst program
* Contribute

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

* 1-3 years of systems analyst experience
* BA/BS degree or suitable work experience as an Analyst
* At least one year of Information Security experience
* Experience with firewall and proxy policy management
* Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to demonstrate time management skills in a high-paced work environment
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* Work history that indicates ability to solve complex problems
* Focuses on continuous improvement in their work
* Desire to deliver world-class customer service and be a facilitator for helping teams get work done
* Creative problem-solving
* Identifies problems, understands root cause and effect and solves independently within assigned space
* Ability to communicate with individuals across a wide level of technical knowledge from non-technical workers to engineers to senior leadership

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED

* Certification in networking, security or related subject
* Desire to learn and grow as an Information Security professional
* Quirky sense of humor and a desire to have fun
