Responsible for providing designer-level leadership to ensure the overall stability, integrity, and efficiency of assigned system(s) infrastructure including engineering, implementation and integration, and technical service and support. Apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve highly advanced complex issues in support of business processing requirements. Anticipates and mitigates potential attacks through network or other connections to ensure the security of the system. Analyze business requirements to develop technical network solutions and their architecture framework.

Job Functions

* Perform advanced network design engineering level functions in support of a multi-site enterprise environment.


* Manage medium to large scale complex projects understanding the interaction between server, voice, applications and network throughout an enterprise environment.


* Design company network architecture and detailed technical documentation


* Design, implement and audit complex configuration changes across a multi-vendor environment. (Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, Avaya, Brocade, Aerohive)


* Work professionally and inter-actively with internal and external customers globally.


* Must be able act as a point of escalation for complex technical troubleshooting scenarios.


* Provide oversight and support in design, configuration, management and implementation of computer/network architecture environments, including LAN, WAN, VoIP, SD, and VPN.


* Making decisions that are critical in the areas of throughput analysis, problem solving, and infrastructure planning with potential to affect the successful execution of business transactions


* Advanced professional skill sets across multiple disciplines including IPS, AV, Web Filtering, VPN, SD WAN, Wireless, 3G/4G, VoIP, Server, Storage, Scripting and Virtualization


* Experience in vetting updates through rigorous change management processes


* Must possess the ability to discern information from forensics to determine RCA for outages and network events


* Expert reading and understanding packet captures


* Pro-actively maintain 24x7x365 reliable network operations including upgrading hardware/ software for critical business capabilities.


* Coordinate with vendors to provide appropriate hardware to meet business requirements.


* Required to configure, lift, and install equipment and servers which vary in weight up to 50 lbs

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent field.


* Industry certifications such as MCSE, CCNP/CCIE, VCP, CEH,


* Four or more years in the administration of corporate campus networks, including extensive experience with LAN/WAN, VOIP, Applications support and administration/architecture within a secure IT environment.


* Knowledge of advanced networking/routing protocols and concepts.


* Knowledge of network administration principles.


* Knowledge of project management practices.


* Experience configuring routing protocols and technologies such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VPN, IPSEC, ICMP, NAT/PAT, ATM, and MPLS.


* Multi-task and work effectively in a team environment to solve complex networking problems.


* Lead, orient and cross-train employees or users regarding work procedures, department best practices, and proper use of resources.
