Network Consultant

Job Description

We have an immediate need for a Network Consultant on our Consulting Services team. We're looking for someone with 2-5 years of experience as a technical consultant. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and technical certifications, such as the CCNA and MCSA. Candidates must be willing to travel to client sites between Fairfax, VA and DC.

Primary Job Responsibilities include:

* On-site support of various clients network infrastructure in the DC Metro Area
* Leading assessment and conversion projects
* Consulting on various aspects of LAN/WAN administration both on-site and remotely
* Developing network and systems documentation as needed
* Providing client user assistance and training as needed

General Requirements Candidates Must Have:

* A "can do" attitude and "follow through" approach for solutions
* Excellent customer service practices
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with all levels of employment and technical knowledge bases
* Prior experience either consulting or in a professional services environment
* Ability to work individually and in team environments both internally and with clients
* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for moving computer equipment
* A valid driver's license and transportation to travel amongst multiple client locations in the DC Metro Area daily
* Favorable results on a Standard Criminal Background Check for employment

* Monitoring software
* Remote support applications
* Network Security Audits
* Telecommunications / VoIP
* DNS
* Dell and HP Workstation/Server Hardware
* Patch Management
* Technical Helpdesk

Education/Certifications:

Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent work experience, or MCSE / CCNA or progress toward MCSE / CCNA is always a plus and preferred for many positions.
