Job Title: Network and Operations Administrator

Report To: Manager of IT Network, Operations and Infrastructure

Location: Warren, NJ

Job Summary

The position requires significant knowledge of best practices in IT network, infrastructure, and operations area. The individual will provide network support, troubleshooting, and design to meet overall business IT networking and operation's needs, and will require exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced IT environment. Position will require periodic travel to other facilities in NJ. Position will require after hours/weekend work when needed for emergency support, upgrades or maintenance windows.

Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities

* Responsible for day to day operation, maintenance and support of corporate network and infrastructure.


* Coordinate the prompt, effective resolution of all network issues and outages. Perform root cause analysis to document outages or issues that impact the business, including steps taken to prevent recurrence.


* Build, maintain, and support network infrastructure.


* Provide direct support and technical assistance to users by promptly addressing trouble tickets and providing helpful customer feedback.


* Schedule and implement network changes, patches, upgrades, and installations.


* Work with managed datacenter provider, WAN providers, and other vendors for support, planning, implementation, and configuration.



Job Requirements:

Qualifying Skills and Experience

* 3-5 years extensive experience designing, supporting and troubleshooting large, complex LAN/WAN environments


* IPS/IDS, Firewalls, DMZ, VPN, VOIP, QoS, DNS,DHCP, VMware networking


* Cisco routing and switching infrastructure in a multi-protocol environment (EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, etc) and multi connectivity environment (MPLS, VPLS, DMVPN, IPSec, SDWAN, etc)


* Cisco wireless controllers and access points


* AWS or Azure cloud integration


* Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills


* Superior troubleshooting experience and skills


* Exceptional hands-on experience with complex IT Systems solutions and business applications.


* Positive, proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to work alone as an individual contributor, as a technical lead when required, and as a participant in a team environment


* Learn quickly and adapt to new technologies


* BA or BS Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering required, or equivalent work experience.


* CCNA/CCNP Preferred
