FAR On Demand Pricing is a global front office development group, delivering pricing systems to the business.

The team comprises a number of cross-asset infrastructure teams, providing platforms used across the Barclays investment bank businesses (Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange, Equities, Credit and Counterparty Risk trading, etc.)

The environment is fast paced and dynamic with complex risk management challenges to deal with on a regular basis.

The global team has forged strong partnerships with the business and the infrastructure groups including: quantitative analysis, finance, operations, product control and risk management functions.

The ethos of these teams is to create flexible, innovative, robust and well-engineered systems that are architected to support business growth and innovation.

FAR is a dynamic group that uses agile methodologies to deliver cutting edge technologies both to businesses and other IT groups across Barclays Capital.

The group has teams across the globe, working closely to provide common platforms to businesses in London, Singapore and New York.

FAR On Demand Pricing provides opportunities for building and demonstrating both technical and business skills, driven by a demanding client-base.

What will you be doing?

* Developing cross asset pricing tools in C#, supporting the needs of the business
* Working alongside trading and quantitative analysts to build components making use of the banks standard analytics libraries
* Architecting, designing, building, developing and supporting a resilient, scalable pricing service for use by multiple heterogeneous clients
* Supporting existing pricing applications and responsible for pricing queries from trading, sales and risk management

What we're looking for:

* Undergraduate degree in CompSci, Engineering, Maths or Physics (Masters or advanced degree preferred)
* 5 years of experience in .Net software development in the investment banking industry
* 2 years of experience working in an Agile environment
* 2 years' experience in a front office facing environment; dealing with traders & quantitative analysts

Skills that will help you in the role:

* Experience working with Derivatives
* Familiarity with xml
* Excellent work attitude, with a focus on detail and delivery of the highest quality product under tight time pressure
* Ability to communicate at all levels and work independently
