Job Title: .NET Developer

Location: Merrifield, VA

Description:

ALEX has an immediate opening for a strong C#.net developer to work at our Merrifield, VA location. The project involves re-engineering and implementing state of the art solutions for modernization of several USPS mission critical multi-tiered web and console applications. The successful candidate will join a team of developers and DBAs.

Duties and Responsibilities: (to include but not be limited to the following):

Ø Design, develop and support multi-tiered web and console based applications using C#, .NET

Ø Implement solutions using database queries, stored procedures, functions and be able to do performance tuning

Ø Design, develop and maintain Web Services for integrations with applications

Ø Assist in the setup of production environment and implementation of applications on servers

Qualifications and Experience:

Ø Extensive experience of the .NET Framework, C#, ASP.NET, ASMX and WCF Web Services, and ADO.NET.

Ø 5+ years of experience in a combination in the following areas: C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, XML, Web Application Development, Unit Testing, SQL, PL/SQL, Bootstrap, LINQ

Ø Proficient in SQL and SQL tuning procedures

Ø 2+ years of ORACLE 12C in a multi-user production environment.

Ø Experience developing on multiple platforms including Windows/Linux.

Ø 3+ years of progressively complex programming experience in large scale integrated applications.

Ø Must be proficient in writing and maintaining batch jobs.

Ø Must be able to communicate effectively, work in a team environment.
