The National Solutions Group at Leidos currently has multiple openings for Mission Operators (Shift) to support a client's requirements in a challenging, dynamic setting located in the Northern Virginia area. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience supporting an important, fast-paced, mission critical program and requires TS/SCI with poly . The Mission Operators will perform 24/7 mission console operations on a rotating 12-hour shift basis as part of a team that leverages national systems in a dynamic and evolving operations environment. Mission Operators will work in a highly collaborative environment with teammates, key stakeholders and the Government customer to ensure mission continuity and support to the IC community.

Roles and Responsibilities:

* Implements mission plans and schedules and executes system tasking to achieve mission objectives.
* Monitors and operates data processing computer software in accordance with defined operating instructions and procedures.
* Responds appropriately to system messages or error indicators from equipment or control panels.
* Responds to operational situations appropriately, and provides recommendations for system and process improvement.
* Performs daily activities, including working with multiple systems, platforms, and databases to ensure mission accomplishment and monitors mission system performance.
* Applies expertise on system capabilities, tasking, and requirements during real-time operations and execution to ensure resource optimization.
* Must successfully complete a formal training and certification program
* Monitoring and analyzing strategic and operational aspects of political, military, and economic developments within key countries
* May focus analysis on domestic and/or international threats

Minimum Qualifications:

* Requires BS/BA degree and 2 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience; OR an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of degree
* Must currently possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph
* Experience with collection management, mission management, or operational environments
* Experience with working in an intelligence community operational environment
* Demonstrated ability and experience working effectively on a small team in a real-time operational environment
* Ability to recognize problems or errors and respond appropriately
* Ability to work a rotating shift pattern covering a 24/7 mission Strong interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

* Ability to operate multiple systems that ensure activities are accomplished
* Ability to identify needed changes to processes and activities and help to implement solutions
* Ability to work successfully as part of a virtual team
* Knowledge of the processes and tools required to execute timelines and provide mission status
