Job Description

Chemonics seeks a Management Information Systems (MIS) Support Manager, Systems Strengthening to join USAID Global Health Supply Chain Program - Procurement and Supply Management Project (GHSC-PSM). The MIS Support Manager will oversee software development and deployments of GHSC-PSM developed product suite for our clients. The position will focus on supporting the MIS technical team in client management, vendor management, and work to ensure software deployments are delivered on-time and according to client specifications. He/she will partner with country teams, consultants and wider cross cutting GHSC-PSM teams to support a wide cross section of MIS solutions, and ensure that all project plans are comprehensive and project documentation updated. Responsibilities include:

* Support MIS interventions for Systems Strengthening and Global MIS teams


* Communicate MIS project management requirements to both operations and technical client audiences


* Serve as the internal central point of communication on MIS project status, progress toward meeting milestone dates, and status of project issues and risks


* Ensure project tasks are completed on schedule, resolve issues, and build internal relationships to help move projects forward


* Inform GHSC-PSM product, process and project enhancements to improve MIS operations and solution delivery


* Define, document and implement project management best practices and process improvements


* Represent MIS team effectively in cross functional groups and client meetings


* Provide project support oversight to vendor activities to ensure delivery of high-quality products in accordance with the specifications; ensure user compliance to specifications and recommendations


* Assist with the development of project/country work plans and with monitoring progress against the work plan deliverables, and with reporting requirements


* Assist in identifying opportunities and coordinating project work with other partners on medicines management issues or other relevant areas.


* Support data analytics interventions


* Support country teams in analysis and interpretation of logistics data


* Provide project management oversight to data collection interventions: including design and development of surveys/assessments and training end users on data collection tools


* Develop and manage user trainings, update and maintain all technical project related documentations


* Other duties as assigned



Qualifications:

* Bachelor degree in related field required


* Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience required


* Technical certifications in Project Management, or demonstrated understanding and implementation of project management tools and methodologies preferred


* Understanding of technical concepts, software development processes combined with the ability to work across teams, stakeholders and partners in implementing complex programs


* Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills; proven diplomatic and public relations skills


* Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing


* Excellent verbal, written communication skills and interpersonal skills


* Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks


* Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity


* International travel as required (15%)


* Language fluency in English required
