* This position is located in our Seattle, WA office but may be open to teleworking for the right candidate*

Mgr Sr, Program IT Infrastructure accomplishes strategic objectives by overseeing multiple project and program activities.

Position's Customer(s): All GCI customers, company's business units, and subsidiaries.

Essential Duties of Position:

* Program Management: Manage programs, projects, and assigned project managers to ensure groups are meeting project deliverable and financial commitments. Maximizing planning, leading, organizing, and motivating agile project teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering agile projects that provide exceptional business value to users. Ensure program operations and activities adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies. Build relationships with internal and external business partners. Responsible for hiring, leading, developing and managing the performance by those reporting to this position; establishes and communicates clear performance expectations, makes recommendations for salary increases. Provide timely annual performance reviews to all direct reports. Responsible for team results and recommends and /or approves promotions, demotions, transfers or disciplinary actions up to and including termination. Maintains union free workforce through effective communication and regular feedback to employees regarding their performance against expectations, and use of effective performance recognition of groups involved.


* Finance & Analytics: Develop program planning to include budget, resourcing, incremental delivery, and scope across multiple IT Infrastructure programs and enterprise groups


* Project Execution: Develop project execution methodologies under a scaled agile framework and standards for improved IT infrastructure and enterprise project delivery across functional team structures, driving to continuous improvement and incorporating security standards developed by the Enterprise Security Office


* Operational Excellence: Achieve operational excellence objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; participation in infrastructure and enterprise roadmap planning sessions, implementing productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; and implementing change.


* Vendor Management: Manage contract compliance, billing, contract deliverables. Manage vendors where applicable in the IT infrastructure group and adhere to procurement management processes in alignment with IT's financial group.

In conjunction with department leadership create an environment of collaboration, candor, professionalism, optimism, open and clear communication, inquisitiveness, and problem solving oriented to results. Develop leadership team and create clear career paths for all employees.



Job Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.


* Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.


* Exceptional written communications skills. Ability to communicate and influence all levels from senior executives on down


* Must be able to articulate information in presentation format in front of internal and external customers


* Ability to work effectively across multiple large-scale programs in parallel, appropriately prioritizing and sequencing work to maximize value to the business


* Possesses strong knowledge of SAFe working methodology


* Strong knowledge of Applied Lean-Agile methodologies


* Strategic planning


* Financial development, management and planning


* Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards


* Data and information analysis to support and drive decision-making


* Ability to foster mutual trust and cooperation across several delivery teams


* Proficiency with project management software and spreadsheets


* Ability to manage teams and members without a direct report chain



Minimum of ten (10) years' experience within the following areas:

*


  • Program Management/PMO


    * Project Management


    * Information Technology


    * Minimum 4 years of supervisory, management, and/or demonstrated leadership experience required




    * High school diploma or equivalent required.


    * Bachelor in Project Management, Business Administration, or related field required.


    * MBA highly valued.


    * A combination of relevant work experience and/or education to perform the duties of the job may be substituted for the minimum experience and education qualifications on a year-for-year basis.


    * Certifications Required: Within one (1) year of hire; required to complete: PMP or Agile Scrum Certification.



    Physical Requirements: Ability to perform sedentary work. Physical effort may include stooping, kneeling, touching, feeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Clarity of vision to see near, mid-range, and color. Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.

    Working Conditions: Majority of work is performed in GCI offices in Anchorage or Seattle. Position will require some travel. The company and its subsidiaries operate in a 24/7 environment providing critical services to Alaskans and may need to respond to public health and safety matters or other business emergencies. Due to business needs employees may be contacted outside of the normal business hours to respond to the immediate emergency. As such, you will be required to provide emergency after hours contact numbers, to include your home and cell phone numbers if you have those services.

    Driving Requirements (if applicable): Must be able to drive as occasional use of personal vehicle for transportation between various GCI facilities within the Anchorage area may be required. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
