As the Manager of EHR Integration for our Corporate Data and Analytics team, you will lead a team of analysts in the development, integration and implementation of tools and processes associated with our EHR platform. You will draw on your expertise with HIE, EHR exchange and provider interoperability. You will work closely with business leaders to assess and prioritize their needs, maintain system health, and deliver solutions in support of achieving goals. You will also work with healthcare providers to support adoption of integrated processes and may serve as the primary operator on a new technology suite. You will be at the center of enabling the translation of real-time clinical data from medical service providers into data models and dashboards in support of data science. The work will allow Premera to deliver better health outcomes at lower costs to members. As part of this role, you may be assigned internal controls derived from Premera's internal controls framework. You will be accountable for understanding the controls assigned to you, their impacts on Premera, and to ensure that they are operating effectively. This is a very ground-breaking opportunity to use your expertise in both the medical data and data science arenas!

What you'll do:

* Manage a team that designs, develops, tests, deploys and provides ongoing management of systems and tools that support EHR integration and claims exchange across multiple Healthcare Information Exchanges, large provider groups, and Premera platforms
* Collaborate with external stakeholders to facilitate system and process integration, prioritize system requirements, and facilitate implementation and utilization of healthcare interoperability tools
* Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure Premera systems are functioning optimally and evolving to meet the needs of the organization and our customers
* Lead the prioritization of work in the system and manage the pipeline
* Work closely with other Premera teams to understand and incorporate EHR data into Premera business processes
* Provide leadership and operational support for emerging and existing capabilities. Implement approved programs, measure success, optimize processes and inform direction of capabilities
* Provide opportunities and framework for team members' career advancement
* Interpret and understand of department and company goals, purpose and values and communicate to employees
* Provide consistent performance feedback to staff
* Develop and manage and operate within department budget
* Determine where financial and human capital resources are best utilized and allocated to maintain operational excellence by working with department and company leaders

What you'll bring:

* Bachelors' degree in business, finance, computer science, information technology or a related area or four (4) years of equivalent work experience.
* 6 years' experience in business operations, systems and processes which includes:
* (3) years of experience in planning, implementation, and deployment of internal business systems
* Previous business analysis experience
* Experience providing strong technical knowledge of EHR systems and related tools and processes
* Knowledge of and experience with the Intersystems platform and Cache-based programming are highly desired
* Experience managing technical teams of programmers and data analysts
* Experience working in an automated, transaction-based environment
* Experience partnering with IT organization in development and maintenance of business systems
* Strong knowledge of SQL
* Understanding of the healthcare industry particularly around electronic health records, message types and
* Ability to flex comfortably between strategic and tactical work
* Ability to communicate complicated, technical and business processes in lay terms
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
* Ability to build, develop and lead teams in a direct or matrixed role
* Experience leading projects and/or performing project management tasks
