Summary

Responsible for leading a team of Software Development Engineers in the planning and designing of software and web applications. Manages projects from design to testing, including new programs, enhancements, and modifications. Collaborates with Quality Assurance team to conduct testing. Develops financial and operational objectives. Ensures operational plans are aligned with business objectives. Contributes to functional strategy development. Has a greater degree of impact on business results, and typically manages one or more groups of professional employees.

Core Responsibilities

* You should be a leader to build a high performing organization of numerous enigneers/tech leads/ manager leading multiple teams, hire technical resources and lead the technical direction of mission critical applications.
* As a leader of this organization, you will have the end-to-end ownership of the product(s), including the front-end application(s) as well as the backend services & databases supporting the application.
* You will regularly interact with executive leadership and work with business teams to define product strategy, develop the product development roadmap, technology architecture and execution.
* You'll need to build, manage, and mentor multiple engineering teams towards achieving a focused mission.
* You'll work in a fast paced environment and will be required to lead not only at the strategic level, but also tactically day-to-day by diving deep into business and technical domains.
* You'll be leading a high performance team responsible for mission cirtical, highly distributed, highly available, high performing state of the art products and platfroms built on latest no-sql and cloud technologies.
* Oversees the planning and designing of software and web applications, including new programs, enhancements, and modifications.
* Directs implementation initiatives for new software products and applications. Organizes software update process for existing applications and coordinates the roll-out of software releases.
* Manages all the deliverables to ensure adherence to deadlines, specifications, and budgets. Implements performance metrics and prepares period reports and/or proposals. Monitors and tracks project progress and reports findings to leadership team.
* Ensures all engineers keep current with technological developments within the industry. Monitors and evaluates competitive applications and products.
* Provides leadership and direction to department personnel from lower-level managers to non-exempt employees.
* Manages cross-project communications.
* Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
* Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education Level

* Bachelors Degree or Equivalent

Field of Study

* Engineering, Computer Science

Certifications

* Years Experience
* Generally requires 8-11 years related experience
* Expereince in leading multiple teams will be a plus

Expereince in leading a team with other people management roles will be a plus.

Strong experience with the people manager role is a must.

3+ years of prior experience in the Management role is preferred.
