Job Description

Business Unit:

Job Summary:

Responsible for managing a multi-disciplinary team of software developers and test engineers. Collaborates with cross functional and domain teams to lead project initiatives for Business Services applications. Coordinates complex and cross-domain engineering projects from design to implementation in accordance with the company's policies. Ensures operational plans are aligned with business objectives. Must be a strong, hands-on technical leader, an independent, critical and analytic thinker, have excellent communication skills and rapidly adapts to changing business and customer demands.

Core Responsibilities:

* Management of software and Test Engineering teams in onshore, offshore and hybrid environments. This includes performing hiring, performance management, mentoring, coaching, and career development.
* Manage all aspects of the delivery of highly available software, including requirements gathering, design, and architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, operations, and maintenance.
* Build strong collaborative relationships with product, program, design and other engineering teams inside and outside of your organization.
* Mentor and Coach at various staffing levels and provide guidance to the team members to drive execution excellence in delivery.
* Define IT strategies and technology roadmaps 1 to 2 years.
* Generate IT strategies to enable and practice DevOps culture, lead automation, and standardize operating model to drive efficiency.
* Drive the delivery of software that meets data-driven expectations, including product and operational KPIs.
* Architect, Design & implementation of enterprise large scale application using broad range of technologies Java/J2EE, Restful API(s), JMS, Kafka, NoSQL(Mongo DB and Couchbase), Angular JS, Oracle, cloud computing and virtualization advancing enhanced operational efficiency, effective application resource management, reduced technological debt, and built secure and highly reliable platforms.
* Building and maintaining micro-services at scale in a continuous delivery cloud environment.
* Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
* Regular, consistent and punctual in office attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.



Job Specification:

* Software development experience preferably in Web and Database applications using Angular, Java, Spring Framework, and Cloud technologies.
* Experience in managing enterprise-grade web and database applications using Java J2EE & WEB technologies.
* Experience in managing software development and testing teams.
* Strong understanding of modern software architecture, security, development, testing, and operational best practices.
* Experience in CI/CD and Agile delivery practices.
* 8-10 years of software engineering experience.
* 2+ years of management experience.
* BS degree in Computer Science or related field.
* Ability to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional manner.
* Advanced knowledge of current software development methodologies and practices.
* Ability to travel quarterly.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

* Public Cloud Experience, Preferably AWS
* Operational experience working with Cloud technologies
* Strong interpersonal skills; capable of writing recommendations and interacting with company personnel on complex topics.
* Demonstrated experience of participating on teams of technical experts in a diverse, fast-paced, 7 x 24 environment
* Proven experience meeting large deliverables with fixed and aggressive deadlines.

Ability to present clear, concise reporting on concurrent projects and issues
* Advanced services knowledge of company products and services
* In depth knowledge of software development lifecycle including DevOps, SAFE, etc.
