Position Summary

IPG Media Brands Data & Technology team is seeking a talented senior data engineer to design and implement resilient data pipeline using the Reporting platform. The ideal candidate would be hands-‐on in implementing end-‐to-‐end ETL flow using latest technology frameworks. The candidate should enjoy working in a startup-‐like environment and be able to function well independently or in cross-‐functional teams.

Essential Functions

* Technically own different modules of the platform, including design, development, & integration.
* Design and implement highly scalable data pipelines for the reporting platform.
* Interface with other teams to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from a wide variety of in-‐ house and 3rd party data sources.
* Hands-‐on development. Design and write clean, robust, well-‐tested code for various modules of the data processing platform using the latest technology stack.
* Perform ad-‐hoc analyses and respond to data/analytical requests.
* Debug & diagnose data issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
* Actively work with business users, support, product managers, QA, Release, and UI and Platform Engineering teams across different time zones to develop very-‐high quality products

Qualifications

Education:

* Bachelor's degree

Work Experience:

* 6 -‐ 12 years experience in building complex ETL pipelines for large datasets.
* 2+ years experience using Java & Python.
* 4+ years experience working with various AWS cloud services including RDS, S3, Athena, etc.
* 4+ years experience working in agile environment (SCRUM).
* 4+ years experience working in programmatic AD tech space.

Skills:

* Deep proficiency with SQL -‐ be able to create and troubleshoot complex SQL statements.
* Experience with BI software such as: Tableau, Quicksight or similar BI Tools.
* Strong communication skills (verbal and written). Be able to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
* Experience gathering complex business requirements and identifying data needs.
* Be able to break down complex features into small tasks, provide accurate estimate and deliver in time.
* Proven ability for thinking out of box and exploring innovative solutions.
