Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a Director of Application Engineering to lead a product development team. This person will manage the technical resources and drive the architecture of product development.

Essential Functions

* Work with Product team to execute the roadmap and translate requirements into actionable software engineering tasks.
* Discuss technical solutions with the development team, communicate goals and facilitate execution.
* Manage tech debt and growing codebase so we continuously improve quality and performance.
* Lead functional design reviews and provide feedback to the development team.
* Coordinate with QA team members and work together to achieve automated testing in support of continuous delivery capabilities.
* Manage creation of deployment scripts and instructions to enable technical operations to smoothly deploy solutions across environments.
* Perform code reviews and provide feedback to developers.
* Help team unblock on any impediments.
* Where applicable, participate in coding and contribute to the codebase.
* Support the Product organization in product demos and pitches.
* Investigate production issues and coordinate with the QA and support teams to deliver any patches required.

Qualifications

Education:

* BS in Computer Science. MS desirable

Work Experience:

* 12+ years of progressive technology experience
* 5+ years demonstrated experience in browser and native device Ad Tech-related development

Skills:

* Experience with Agile methodologies highly desirable
* Excellent organizational skills
* Excellent architecture skills and strong technical writing skills
* Must have a deep knowledge and extensive experience with wide range of technologies and software delivery management processes, including:
* Software development methodologies
* Web development methodologies
* Native device development management
* Expertise in browser Javascript development, tagging strategies, and high-volume pixeling/beaconing patterns
* Strong system knowledge of Linux environments
* Scripting skills (Bash, Perl, PHP, Python etc.)


* Knowledge in Amazon's AWS ecosystem desirable
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
