Disney Streaming Services is a business unit within The Walt Disney Company's Direct-to-Consumer and International (DTCI) segment that oversees all consumer-facing digital video subscription services across the company. Disney Streaming is responsible for developing and operating Disney's direct-to-consumer video businesses globally, including the ESPN+ premium sports streaming service, programmed in conjunction with ESPN; the upcoming Disney+ entertainment streaming service; and BAMTECH Media, a global leader in direct-to-consumer video streaming products and solutions. Its core mission is to deliver global audiences the freedom to access content on their terms across any connected device, time or location.

We are seeking a reliable, hard-working person for a part-time position in the Multimedia Operations Department. The main responsibilities are supporting the video editorial staff, handling various requests from other teams within the organization, troubleshooting issues and assisting with delivery of media. The ideal candidate has a background in video editing and production and is very comfortable working in macOS. Other helpful skills include a background in encoding and an understanding of various video codecs. To coincide with live event times, this position includes night and weekend hours.

Basic Qualifications

* Understanding of macOS and Windows operating systems
* Extensive experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and video production workflows
* Basic understanding of QuickTime and other video codecs including H.264, ProRes, DVCPRO HD and HLS
* Basic understanding of FTP and Aspera delivery systems
* Video QC experience
* Good organizational skills; must be able to track large scale projects and keep teams updated on status.

* Experience with Apple Remote Desktop and Workgroup Manager

* Understanding of the principles of a Digital Asset Management system
* Conduct benchmark, performance and stress tests in both production and QA environments
