We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Manual Tester to join our team in Alexandria, VA, to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.

In this role you will test whether user stories meet the acceptance criteria and overall definition of done. The individual must be comfortable working in a team-based agile environment.

Position Responsibilities:

* Participate in team "story grooming" sessions with the team to ensure the Acceptance Criteria the Business Analyst has written into the User Story are clear, complete, and testable.
* Assist with assessment of the "downstream" impacts of changes to the system to identify the necessary scope of regression testing and testing that should be performed by interfacing applications.
* Help identify workflows which would benefit from having a Test Automation engineer script a test.
* Test each User Story for Section 508 Accessibility.
* Write clear and comprehensive bug tickets in JIRA to document the steps to recreate the bug and ensure it is linked to a documented design or User Story for reference so the developer will know what criteria was not met and how to meet the originally intended criteria.
* Help identify manual regression tests and execute manual Build Verification testing.
* Review defects identified by end users, working with the end user to identify the steps to recreate the bug.
* The individual will be responsible for all aspects of testing and Quality Assurance through the full lifecycle from requirements gathering through implementation.

Required Skills:

* Ability to acquire an in depth understanding of complicated business processes from the end users perspective, as well as from a data quality perspective.
* Strong communication skills are required to communicate with team members, other Office of Information Technology resources, stakeholders, and end users.
* At least two years of experience testing web applications.
* Interest in learning new technology.
* Willingness to go the extra mile to help the team deliver.

Desired Skills:

* 508 testing experience using the Web Accessibility toolbar is a plus
* 508 Trusted Tester Certification is a plus
* Experience using mainframe systems is a plus
* Technical education

Requirements

Position Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree and minimum 10 years of related experience or equivalent
* Candidate must be able to favorably pass government background investigation.
* U.S. Citizenship eligibility requirements.
