The job

Responsible for managing the Testing Center of Excellence which leads testing efforts for all vendor applications throughout the organization during implementation and post implementation by validating and ensuring software changes or configuration changes are defect free and meeting requirements outlined by business. Also to act as a driving force behind maturing QA methodologies and to transform manual automation efforts to automated test suites.

You will

This position is responsible for developing and implementing efficient and effective test plans for new software products implementations throughout organization and for enhancements and periodic software releases for existing systems. Includes understanding of QA methodology, processes and associated automated testing tools.

Responsible for migrating manual test suites in to automated test suites using software automation tools and gain efficiencies and quality.

Participates in all phases of the SDLC, from requirements definition through implementation. Additionally, is responsible for developing testing strategies and coordination of testing activities with business units, project teams and vendors.

Work closely with several business units within the organization and provide them support with testing of new product implementations and software releases of existing products.

Makes recommendations for, and participates in, the implementation of Automation, Quality Improvement and performance initiatives in accordance with Federal/State Regulatory and Plan standards. Works with both vendors and internal business partners to ensure desired outcomes are achieved.

Facilitate Testing and defect management meetings with vendors and business owners and communicate test progress status/results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management.

Lead the development and execution of manual and automated tests that deliver optimal system function and ensure that design meets quality requirements.

Manages onshore and offshore testing resources. Coordinates releases with Business Leads and IT to ensure QA department is able to fully test changes and upgrades to Production Systems.

Defines testing and deployment procedures for QA team, vendors, IT and business. Validates appropriate procedures are followed.

Establish, implement and maintain a test metrics program and develop a predictive test cycle and overall quality metrics.

Define risk assessment related to projects and communicate impacts.

Attends various committee meetings regarding regulatory requirements, compliance, member and provider issues, and strategic planning.

Interacts with Business and Vendors regarding projects, releases and issues. Escalates to appropriate person(s) as needed.

Assist business users in developing test cases, test plans and in User Acceptance Testing. Also responsible for creating detailed test scripts and loading them to tracking systems like TFS and monitor and report the progress.

Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.

Provides on-call and weekend after hours support as needed.

Actively supports the achievement of SCAN's Vision and Goals.

Your qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Health Care Management, Information Technology or equivalent, required.

5 years of management experience in healthcare industry in IT setting.

7-10 years of experience in QA and testing software products

1+ years of experience with Agile methodology

Hands - on experience with any of automated tools like TOSCA, Selenium, QTP, UFT

Testing automation software like TOSCA, Selinium etc...
