Job Description

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Manager, Strategy & Analytics, Strategy in New York, NY and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You'll Do

Deliver IT Strategies driven both from a top down analysis starting with an articulated business strategy and a bottom up technology capability analysis. Perform technology assessments and develop strategic recommendations. Perform full life cycle implementations. Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Take projects from original concept through final implementation. Conduct project meetings and be responsible for project tracking and analysis. Contribute to the firm's growth and development. Organize day-to-day interactions with executive clients and sponsors. Coordinate with team responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provide a single point of contact for those projects. Ensure adherence to quality standards and review project deliverables. Analyze current state IT assessments including IT architectures, IT strategies, integration architectures, application architectures and data architectures to identify opportunities for cost optimization, application rationalization and automation of processes to improve operational efficiency and data management. Identify architecture gaps and recommend improvement opportunities to align technology environments to business operations using TOGAF and Zachman Framework. Evaluate existing software delivery approaches including Agile and Waterfall SDLCs to identify process gaps and improvement opportunities for streamlining how new features/capabilities are released. Determine system capabilities, map business requirements to IT capabilities, and convey the necessity for legacy systems including mainframe, policy administration, core operations systems integration and to operationalize business strategies into actionable business and IT capability driven roadmaps. Assess clients' software tools and application configurations and identify opportunities for improvement based on object-oriented programming languages including C#, .NET and SQL. Develop strategies for data, application and infrastructure migration, retirement and transformation using knowledge of database functions using SQL Server, MySQL, SQL Server Integration services, Big Data and other cloud technologies including Amazon EC2, VMware, Azure, Citrix, Hadoop, MongoDB and Apache Spark. Design and implement short and long-term roadmaps, cost models and business cases for IT/business transformation, application rationalization, and process improvements to manage project work streams.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business Administration, Engineering (any), Computer Information Systems or a related field.


* Five years of progressively responsible experience as a Manager or a related occupation.


* Must have five years of experience with:
* Analyzing current state IT assessments including IT architectures, IT strategies, integration architectures, application architectures and data architectures to identify opportunities for cost optimization, application rationalization and automation of processes to improve operational efficiency and data management;


* Identifying architecture gaps and recommend improvement opportunities to align technology environments to business operations using TOGAF and Zachman Framework;


* Evaluating existing software delivery approaches including Agile and Waterfall SDLCs to identify process gaps and improvement opportunities for streamlining how new features/capabilities are released;

* In the alternative, employer will accept a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in a stated field and three years of experience.


* Any suitable combination of education, training or experience acceptable.


* 80% travel required.
