Are you a self-motivated individual who is interested in developing his career in a technically challenging environment? pSemi, a Murata company is a leading fabless provider of high performance, radio frequency integrated circuits, or RFICs. The Characterization and Test Automation team is seeking an Automation Manager to join our diverse engineering team. The candidate should have experience designing, developing and debugging software applications used to automate lab instrumentation. The selected candidate will also support the development of web based data analysis tools and will lead a group of engineers through ATE systems development process. This role is empowered to focus on innovative solutions, and excellent customer service to the different product development teams that rely on test automation and software development guidance.

Roles & Responsibilities

This position has responsibility for:

* Development of applications (web and native) with a high level of reliability, performance, and usability
* Drive efficiencies to improve processes and technical implementation
* Perform debugging, data analysis, and system analysis as required
* Review software & hardware requirements design and specifications
* Create software verification plans, risk protocols and software risk analysis
* Validate the configuration, functionality, and user interface of software and tools
* Design, develop execute, and maintain automated and manual tests
* Execute software verification plans
* Facilitate code and design reviews to peers and subordinates
* Documentation and testing of software applications
* Status Reporting: Provide periodic status reporting to internal customers and management.
* Coach and mentor a team towards elevated maturity of software processes, test automation solutions, support documentation and training of solution platforms
* Personnel Management:
* Directly supervise employees. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization processes
* Responsibilities include hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; apprising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems

Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills)

* Minimum of 8 years of experience in an Engineering/Production environment
* 2+ years of experience in a management role
* Related experience in RF or mixed-signal test development
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent analytical and software development skills
* Demonstrated experience with at least one of the following programming languages: C#, C++/C, Java and NI LabVIEW
* Familiarity with NI TestStand
* Fluent in test-driven development
* Fluent in source control best practices
* Experience in automated tested and build automation tools
* Strong understanding of OOP and design patterns
* Demonstrate experience as a creative problem solver
* Demonstrate experience as an independent thinker and starter
* Familiarity with lab equipment automation
* Familiarity with PXI systems
* Versed in ATE system design and development techniques

Preferred Qualifications

* Familiarity with spectrum analyzers, signal generators and VNA functionality
* Familiarity with RF IC characterization processes
* Functional knowledge or hands on design experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP, etc.)
* Proficiency with Angular, React, or similar framework
* Familiarity with the following data persistence technologies
* SQL
* MongoDB
* Elastic Search
* Working knowledge of WPF, WCF, and Entity Framework
* Proficiency in data analysis tools (SAS JMP, IBM SPSS, RStudio, Stata, etc.)

Education Requirements

* BS required, MS preferred (Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering)

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
