LMI Technology is looking for a servant leader to actively lead an Agile Development Squad responsible for technology enabling Back Office functions at Liberty Mutual Investments. As a Manager of Software Engineering you will be responsible for the products in this domain (investments accounting platform, financial reporting, reconciliation, and interfaces), partnering with business stakeholders to promote delivery aligned to the notional product roadmap. You will collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters and vendors to ensure regular incremental delivery of value to our LMI customers. This role will work with the Director of Back Office Technology and lead 6-8 direct reports based in Boston.

In this role you will:

* Build a high level of service through establishment of effective partnerships, ensuring quality and service standards across product teams; analyze and resolve quality and delivery challenges; identify trends; recommend development, automated testing, and deployment practice improvements.
* Evolve our agile practice, work with coach, business partners and team members to empower and improve team dynamics and delivery
* Lead agile Back Office squad development efforts, together with aligned Scrum Masters and Product Owners.
* Enable the investments business by providing leadership in support of a large scale program to implement a cloud-based commercial off-the-shelf investment accounting package.
* Actively manage vendor relationships and track software support, release, and upgrade cycles.
* Mentor and coach Agile team members. Define individual performance objectives to ensure alignment with organizational roadmaps; make individual compensation recommendations.
* Build and maintain successful relationships with LMI business colleagues and internal corporate customers of back office technology products.

Qualifications:

* Experienced in leading Agile Teams and iterative development.
* Working knowledge of Agile software development practices (story sizing, sprint planning, retrospectives) and tools (Jira, Confluence).
* Experience with interface development (trade flow, reference data) supporting commercial off-the-shelf software (For ex. SimCorp Dimension, SS&C CAMRA, Dynamics AX)
* Experienced with multiple programming or scripting languages (C#, Python) and database technologies (MS SQL Server tech stack / SSIS preferred; Other database technologies are a plus: PostgreSQL or NoSQL: Cassandra, MongoDB)
* Experience with automated testing software (Selenium, Ranorex, Tosca), CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins, Bamboo), and DevOps
* Experience with Cloud platform technologies (AWS, Azure)
* Familiarity with business intelligence tools and reporting solutions (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
* Familiarity with NodeJS, Angular/React, REST API
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent and 5-7 years' experience
