The Manager, Software Engineering ADAS functions as the dedicated Module Group Lead of the ADAS system teams, lead, develop and motivate a talented engineering team responsible for delivering exciting ADAS active safety system products that are world class in cost, quality, function, time to market and further our technology.

The ideal candidate will have experience and expertise in developing automotive active safety systems, including camera only and sensor fusion systems, and be comfortable building and leading a diverse team of hardware, software and validation engineers along with outside partners.

Responsibilities

  • Executes Karma vehicle program plan, oversees and assists the development of the ADAS systems.
    * Determines specific ADAS Hardware and Software requirements to address complex and varied vehicle program needs including ADAS Sensors and Fusion and related topologies, ADAS concepts and systems such as ACC, AEB, DMS, FCW, HUD, NVS, TSR, PDS, BSM, LDW, and SWCS.
    * Evaluates system capability and overall conformance to requirements and works with partitions to address deficiencies.
    * Develops, proposes and negotiates contingency plans in order to address and mitigate risk.
    * Develops and coordinates entire development cycle - specification, integration, validation, and verification.
    * Performs trade-offs, recommends tools and develops guidelines.
    * Manages the product development starting from the concept up to start of production including all necessary phases and gates related to Karma Product Development Process.
    * Reviews/writes the technical specifications and test procedures.
    * Estimates effort and meets delivery schedules and quality levels.
    * Stays up-to-date with the latest and greatest ADAS technologies and trends.
    * Builds and manages good relationship with potential suppliers.
    * Interfaces cross-functional module groups for a perfect integration.
    * Interfaces safety and certification teams to make sure release is in accordance to all regulations for all markets.
    * Manages internal teams, third party development and integration efforts.



    Qualifications

    *

  • * B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, MSc in EE preferred
    * 5+ ADAS and automotive related experience at either OEM or supplier level.
    * Experience in Functional Safety Requirements (ISO26262)
    * Good understanding of Automotive Communication Protocols such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet.
    * Can exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
    * Passionate about technology, innovation, and of course, cars.
    * Excellent communication, collaboration and organizational skills.
    * Possess the desire and ability to learn new technologies.
    * Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    * Convert innovative ideas into usable products.
    * A proven track record of delivering high-quality products in a short amount of time.
    * Ability to work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
    * Reliable, committed self-starter, with a focus on producing compelling work.
    * Able to quickly apply the needed actions to support change.
