Manager, Software Engineering

What You'll Do:

You will work with product owners, designers, and your engineering team to deeply understand dealership and customer needs, lead the team to quickly create dynamic software experiences and trial pilots, and iterate on those experiences to engage customers in new ways. You will work in a collaborative and cross-functional team environment, diving-in to both lead the team and be hands-on in solving problems.

* Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of your solutions - Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community
* Inspire and elevate direct reports and create highly engaged and performing team
* Embody good communication and collaboration skills while showcasing your ability to interact and work well with members of cross-functional groups across the organization
* Lead team to perform complex application programming activities in the latest technologies
* Develop features that are scalable, accessible and renders effectively across multiple browsers, operating systems, and device types (desktop, mobile, and tablet)
* Manage the careers of the engineers on your team and ensure their continued growth and development
* Collaborate with Solutions Architects and Site Reliability team to manage the application's cloud infrastructure and resiliency

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree
* At least 7 years of experience in designing, developing and delivering full stack web application software from scratch in either hands-on development OR management, OR a combination of the two
* At least 3 years of front-end development experience with Angular OR React
* At least 3 years of technical management experience, including performance management and hiring
* At least 5 years of experience of development experience in Java OR Object-Oriented development
* At least 3 years of experience in SQL Databases OR NoSQL Databases
* At least 2 years of experience in CICD,
* At least 2 years of experience with Cloud technologies
* At least 2 years of experience in building RESTful APIs OR Microservices architecture
* At least 2 years of experience with Agile development methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:

* Master's Degree
* 3+ years of experience with AWS OR Azure
* 3+ years of experience with GitHub OR Jenkins
* 3+ years of experience in development with Angular 4+
* 2+ years of experience in data-driven development
* 2+ years of experience with machine learning OR artificial intelligence
* Current Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certification(s)
