Position Summary

Advises, teaches, and provides guidance and support in the use and selection of appropriate information technologies. Consults, trains, advises, documents, and informs faculty, staff, and students regarding information technology infrastructures, products, and services. Assists in and contributes to decisions regarding policies and procedures, research, planning, and developing activities.. Education and Experience: Bachelor degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience, and 2 - 3 years experience.

Qualifications

Required Education:Bachelor's Degree in biomedical technology field, computer science, or health related field.Preferred Education:Master's degree in IT related field or instructional design.Required Experience:At least 3 years of relevant experience, including supervisory experience in a help desk and/or audiovisual environment solving highly technical issues, which should include some experience supervising or managing staff. Experience must include troubleshooting, maintaining, operating, programming CAE, Gaumard, and Laerdal simulators and other products. In addition, must have experience using Apple Mac and iOS, MS Windows, Crestron Control Systems, Microsoft Office, B-Line and Google Apps for Education.Preferred Experience:At least 2 years of working in simulation or healthcare field. Certification in networking or related field. Experience working in an academic and/or medical setting and knowledge of complex A/V systems, recording equipment, and basic computer/network troubleshooting.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Must have ability to learn new software and hardware quickly and independently, as well as ability to assess, troubleshoot, and provide solutions for equipment failure in a timely manner. Must also have experience using Apple Mac and iOS, MS Windows, Microsoft Office, and knowledge of video editing/conversion programs. Must have the ability to express technical information clearly and simply to non-technical CSLC staff and faculty persons.Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Knowledge of learning theories and simulation teaching strategies. Experience working in a simulation center or health care setting including troubleshooting, maintaining, operating, programming CAE [Meti], Gaumard, and Laerdal simulators and other simulation equipment. Experience using Google Apps for Education.
