What you'll be doing…

In this role, you will be leading a team of developers working on the building the Shared Services Platform for Tableau Server microservices. The team works to build and support shared libraries to facilitate building Java services in addition to establishing guidelines, patterns, and best practices for building robust services in all languages.

As the manager of this team, you will be coaching, mentoring, and serving the needs of the team so they can perform their best work in addition to providing thought leadership partnering with product management.

Some of the things you'll be doing include…

* Leading a team of engineers working on building the shared platform services in Java
* Connecting with other feature teams to coordinate work
* Coaching, mentoring, and supporting members of the team
* Promoting agile development practices and/or helping team move to more frequent software delivery.

* Experienced. You have 5+ years of experience managing development teams. Experience building shared libraries and services is a big plus
