Job Description

Position Overview:

Customer Solutions Engineering Manager plays a key role and leads cross functional teams to complete projects within allotted timeline and budget. Takes client related projects from original concept through final implementation; defines project scope and objectives; develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis. Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables. Manages the integration of clients, data (ingress and egress), reports, and deliverables. Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team; recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems. This role is client facing, so being a great communicator is a must. The Customer Solutions Engineering Manager will be expected to join client related calls, and potentially visit client locations as needed.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a willingness and ability to work in a fluid, close-knit team environment, while also being successful with independent project responsibilities.

Responsible for all aspects of the client integration and implementation of assigned technical projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects.

Education/Licensing Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
* Master's degree in business or technology preferred

Desired Skills and Experience:

* 5+ years of experience in the health care industry (HMO, Group Health, Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial)
* 5+ years of experience in a client facing account management role in healthcare technology
* 5+ years of experience working in a matrixed and highly adaptive environment
* Demonstrated ability to work with product development to deploy technologies such as, desktop and mobile user interface design, information design, user research, data visualization, analytics and APIs.
* Experience in creating product road maps and managing the product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
* Demonstrated analytical skills to enable factual decisions and ongoing study of market and competitive landscapes
* Demonstrated ability to understand strategic direction and apply it to specific product initiatives.
* Demonstrated knowledge of user experience design or user-centered design preferred
* Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with customer and industry presentation experience
* Excellent interpersonal skills with an understanding of how to build and maintain strong internal relationships with key stakeholders
* Experience with Agile development process (SCRUM).
* Understanding of Medicare Advantage or Commercial risk adjustment programs and strategies
* Familiarity with processes of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-9, revenue codes and DRG, coverage and reimbursement.
* Maintains working knowledge of CMS rules and regulations and knowledge of procedure and diagnosis codes (CPT, ICD-9 / 10 coding, HCPCS and DRGs)


* Manage assigned clients and projects.
* Clearly communicate application gaps/differences, set client expectations on actions and ensure client required actions are understood and agreed to
* Provide consultative advice to customers on adapting to gaps/differences; negotiate alternative solutions with clients where necessary

Essential Skills/Experience:

* Fluently speak, read, and write English.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Proven ability to prioritize and multi-task.
* Strong written and oral communication skills for communicating both internally and externally at all levels, including senior levels
* Strong presentation skills and negotiating skills
* Ability to succeed in a dynamic environment
* Programming, server integration, and reporting
* Advanced skills in MS Office;
* Advanced analytical skills.
* Expertise in time management and ability to work in tight timelines
* Ability to work across functional areas within the client to create partnerships
* Ability to understand client business processes and technical issues
* Ability to manage multiple projects at once, including but not limited to: meeting deadlines, tracking of deliverables, and issues identification, management, escalation, and resolution
