As a Manager of Application Development within our Digital Transformation team, this role will be focused on ensuring the implementation of a modern administration system and the development of a modern architecture to enable our digital business. You will help define our operating model, integration strategies, grow our capabilities, and continue to develop our enterprise digital platform team by providing technology leadership, career development and mentoring to team members, and implementation of strategic digital and architecture solutions.

Department Summary:

Manages professional employees and/or strategic vendor partner resources within an assigned area of Technology Services. Provides oversight and supports development and implementation of IT applications/solutions in alignment with company goals. Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.Job Description

Responsibilities:

* Accountable for the performance and results of cross teams of business analysts, scrum masters, programmers, developers and/or systems analysts.
* Ensures the implementation of the technical direction/solution for assigned projects; ensure completion within time and budget constraints.
* Set goals and performance expectations for individuals and work groups; provide coaching, training and mentoring.
* Provide technical and business guidance to employees, colleagues and other stakeholders.
* Assist in annual budget and resource planning.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, CIS or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
* Eight years of relevant technical experience.
* Demonstrated working knowledge of programming languages or relational databases.
* Strong understanding of development tools, processes, cloud computing, microservices and CI/CD environments.
* Analytical and problem solving skills.
* Communication and interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
* Proficiency in MS Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Management experience.
* Advanced technical degree or certifications.
* Experience in the insurance/financial services industry.

Working Environment:

* Office environment.
* Occasional travel.
