Mandatory Skill Requirements (must have):

At least 5 or more years of experience in Surface Combat Systems Planned Maintenance System (PMS) logistics with respect to NAVSEALOGCEN programs/projects. Familiar with a variety of U.S. Navy ship specific logistics concepts, practices, and procedures. Must be capable of providing direct support in gap analysis of logistics requirements against "to be" logistics deliverables of the product baseline of various platforms and their associated Combat/Weapons Systems. Must be able to develop project management documentation in accordance with DoD 5000.1, DoD 5000.2 and SECNAV 5000.2. Must have the technical expertise and experience with various Surface Ship Combat Systems to properly analyze Fleet submitted Technical Feedback Reports (TFBR). Must be proficient with the MS Office Suite of programs; basic typing skills; extensive working experience with the Navy Maintenance and Material Management (3-M) Program to include NAVSEAINST 4790.8 Series; will need to obtain RCM Level 1 and Level 2 qualification within 6 months of assignment to the position.

Job Duties:

Responsible for defining, analyzing and solving complex logistics support problems. Use statistical analysis, develop quantitative models to simulate real-life problems, devise possible solutions, work with management to determine the most effective approach and aid in implementation. Analyze and plan focus on system supportability objectives through consideration of maintenance, inventory, manpower, support equipment, training, transportation, facilities, computer support, technical data and design interface. Provide reports, detailed analysis of projects, and providing options for any logistics gaps with recommendations of levels of effort and timeliness. Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Perform a variety of complicated tasks. Lead and direct the work of others.

Education/Equivalent: Former Fire Controlmen (FC) and Electronics Technicians (ET) with 3M Program experience are highly encouraged to apply for this position. Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent with 8 or more years of Fleet experience in logistics. (.75 years of experience = 1 year of education).

Travel Required: Less than 10%
