Java Senior Developer- Markets Post Trade

Whippany, NJ

As a Java Senior Developer you will primary objective role is to analyze, document, and build Magics components as part of strategic business programs including Trading Axes. You will review business requirements, create designs/ vision/ strategy, lead implementation and ensure quality of deliverables.

What will you be doing?

* Accountable for front2back development across Strategic Business, Regulatory, and Control demands including DevOps, Barclays SDLC, Security, Stability, Capacity, Resiliency, and Maintainability.
* Defining and translating strategic business deliverables into Equity Finance IT milestones.
* Ownership and/or influence of change, project timelines, and architecture.
* Design, build, test, and deploy Magics application components.

What we're looking for:

* Bachelors of Science degree or greater
* 5 years experience in Java required
* 5 years win/ 2 years Linux server experience
* 3 years experience of REST-based APIs is a must and exposure to Java/spring framework
* 2 years Capital Markets knowledge and experience

Skills that will help you in the role:

* 5 years Equities finance/ Stock Loan experience and/or Capital Markets
* 3 years experience in Java script libraries and related frameworks
* 3 years experience on the tools like Subversion, GIT/ SVN, JIRA, Maven, et.
* 3 years experience writing unit test cases adhering to Test driven approach
