What you will be doing:

In this role you will be setting up and performing maintenance on the Ga-Vehren Card Affixing Machine as well as MJ7500 DOD Machine and other card production equipment. Your duties will also include peripheral equipment including the setup of multiple card feeders, magnetic stripe readers, Nordson glue systems and plow folders.

* Sets up, manage and maintain the Drop on Demand print system on the GV including managing data and creating new print setups for new clients.
* Oversees actions and work of team members on the GV team. A team of three to five associates is typical per shift in GV operations.
* Coaches, mentors and trains less experienced team members. Projects a positive team lead role regarding company policies, regulations, guidelines and behaviours.
* Monitors operations and the quality of output from the GV to ensure adherence to service level standards and company/department policies and procedures.
* Reconciles all incoming and completed work from the GV.
* Identifies key barriers and uses troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques to eliminate them.
* Consults with vendors regarding machine capability or maintenance related issues.
* Consults with internal and external clients on future GV projects.
* Serves as the company expert regarding machine configurations, capabilities, and output expectations.
* Identifies and orders parts for the GV or parts as needed for other machines.
* Performs maintenance on other production equipment including, but not limited to shredder, cutter, NBS, MC1200, bursters and shrink wrappers.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm. (Some flexibility required based on workload and any special projects)

What you bring:

* Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in GV machine configurations, capabilities and output expectations
* Broad, in-depth knowledge of card personalization
* Highly proficient in the set up and maintenance of the GV machine, multiple card feeders, magnetic stripe readers, Nordson glue systems, plow folders, shredders, cutters, bursters, shrink wrappers and other related peripheral equipment
* Intermediate level of computer/PC skills with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
* Must be highly detail-oriented and client-driven, focusing on providing the highest quality products and services to FIS clients
* Must demonstrate consistent delivery of the highest levels of accuracy and adherence to company policies, procedures, standards and service level agreements
* Solid analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills that result in the resolution of complex problems
* Proficient written and oral communication skills in dealing with employees or external customers/clients
* Proven time management and project management skills
* Varied interpersonal and technical skills
* Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
* Must be able to lift and carry trays, boxes and envelopes up to 50 pounds
* Must be able to stand for 12 hours
* Some flexibility of work schedule may be required to meet business needs
* Must be willing to attend training (on-site and/or off-site) as required to fulfil job responsibilities
