The Lead Test Engineer- Software and Electrical Systems analyze the development of tests and test custom software Support the software development team by conducting continuous testing during the development cycle and planning for and conducting focused test efforts during integration tests and functional qualification testing.

Responsibilities

* Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Responsible for working with all electrical engineering and systems team in development and coordination of electrical development, verification, validation, and reliability testing on all vehicle electrical systems.
* Work cross-functionally with multidiscipline groups to ensure vehicle targets and requirements are met.
* Strong background in electrical engineering and design to support design improvements and root cause analysis based on test and field failures.
* Strong understanding of High and Low Voltage systems and a minimum conceptual understanding of lithium ion battery systems.
* Understanding of physics and chemical effects and impacts on electrical systems from temperature, humidity, mechanical, corrosive, and other test and field environments to predict failure modes and weak points in the design of systems.
* Background developing automated test equipment and systems for electrical systems, PCBAs, Sensors, Infotainment, Cameras, and Software.
* Work with Reliability engineering to develop accelerated reliability tests for environmental, electrical, and mechanical
* Oversee standard test documentation process and ensure all cross-functional groups are using the standard test templates for creating and reporting tests.
* Create and present presentations on testing
* Compile testing schedules, test statuses, and track issues identified in testing.

Qualifications

* BA or BS degree in Software, Engineering, Mathematics, CS, or a related field
* 3+ years of experience with system testing methodologies and the system or software development life cycle (SDLC)
* Experience with developing and executing test plans procedures, and scenarios for unit, process, function, system integration, and acceptance testing and analyzing testing results
* Experience with documenting and updating manual test procedures
* Experience with executing PC network-based hardware and software and system-level tests
* Experience using Polarion or equivalent ALM/PLM tools
* Experience creating automated dashboards to track performance metrics and statuses
* Experience with performing thorough analysis of software requirement documentation to ensure completeness and testability of requirements
* Statistical analysis and accelerated life test calculation/analysis experience is desired.
* Strong understanding of DVP/Rs and PPAP process
* Strong Technical Writing skills with a focus on test documentation.
* Expertise building low-level systems or components that require a relentless focus on quality and reliability (such as kernels, operating systems, file systems, hypervisors, VMMs, large scale distributed systems, core database platforms, or similar).
* Large software systems design, development, testing, and maintenance.
* Programming languages: C/C++ on Linux
* Experience developing multi-threaded or shared memory systems.
* Basic knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015) and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001:2015), as applicable
