JOB DESCRIPTION
Williams Sonoma, Inc. is currently seeking a Lead Systems Engineer for Supply Chain Production Support team, to join our Technology organization.
About the Team & Role
You will be leading the Infrastructure Team, which is responsible for designing, building and supporting key Infrastructure Software and Systems in the Supply Chain area.
In this role, you will be partnering with the Application support teams to manage infrastructure for Supply Chain systems which includes Sterling OMS, RMS, PLM and software built in-house. You will also provide guidance, mentorship, and leadership to a team of dedicated experienced engineers.
Responsibilities:
* Manage day-to-day activities associated with the ongoing operations of the business-critical Supply chain application and related infrastructure
* Understand services offered by systems, including recurring business critical processes
* Enhance automated application monitoring & alerting for technical exception
* Actively participate in Incident resolution and problem management
* Manage both on-shore and off-shore resources to provide 24/7 coverage and support
* Prioritize & manage production issues amongst heterogeneous systems : Incident, Problem & Change management
* Plan & manage recurring activities related to DR/HA environments, remediating Security issues, software updates and patching etc.
* Responsible for system administration, monitoring, troubleshooting and remediation of the issues facing the systems
* Provide support and ensure the stability of the platform while evaluating the feasibility of improving performance and user experience
* Analyze and define system issues, provide recommendations for tactical resolutions and long-term improvements
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Technology field or equivalent working experience.
* 8+ yrs. hands on technical experience, 3+ yrs. Experience in leading team
* Hands-on proficiency in Linux, Bash scripting, Jenkins and programming in Python or Java
* Experience in supporting infrastructure for Sterling / RMS / PLM
* Experience with DevOps systems such as CI/CD with Jenkins and Ansible, while understanding how to apply DevOps principles to improve processes
