We are seeking a talented individual for a QA Automation Engineer Lead who works closely with development and business partners to ensure high quality software is delivered to customers. Leads the effort to drive test efficiencies, build new QA manual/automation framework, and enhance existing QA process and procedures. The automation tools accommodates both functional and performance testing. This role also involves testing of back end systems and will include significant web service, database, and grey box testing processes.

Essential Responsibilities:

* Leads testing projects to drive efficiencies, build new QA manual/automation framework, and enhance existing QA process and procedures.
* Manages automated testing artifacts to ensure proper reuse, versioning, backups, organization and retention.
* Reviews test plans, test cases and scripts to ensure the standards are followed across product lines.
* Reviews product requirements, functional and design specifications to design manual & automated test strategies.
* Analyzes and identifies components of the system which needs to be automated based on the importance, priority and benefits of the business.
* Works closely with QA team and various developmental team to understand testing objectives and ensure problems are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
* Provides progress reports for all assigned projects and ensures timely and accurate reporting.
* Evaluates test automation strategy and approach to identify areas of improvement which includes automation framework, coding standards, library, components, data collection methodologies and repository models.
* Effectively directs the automation team towards a complete automation solution.
* Owns and drives automation best practices, procedures and standards and applies to the development process.
* Drives constant improvement of test automation practices and knowledge.
* Mentor fellow engineers in testing best practices.
* Develops and maintains automated test scenarios and test cases for both functional and performance testing.
* Designs, develops and conducts performance testing as and when required. Analyzes performance results to identify system inefficacies and suggest optimizations to address the same.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Good communication skills
* Expert in the full Quality Assurance life cycle, testing methodologies, and test automation
* Capable of taking leadership responsibilities and influence the direction of the automation efforts, its schedule and prioritization
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills, ability to analyze test results and metrics, perform root cause failure analysis
* Hands-on experience in designing and implementing UFT/Selenium based test automation frameworks
* Good scripting/language experience (Python, JUNIT, NUNIT, C#, Java)
* Experience with Project Management tools like HP ALM,Jira etc.
* Experience with Load & Performance testing.
* Prior experience of working with globally distributed teams
* Experience working in Agile methodology
* Experience working with CICD and implementing CT
* Good Database & SQL knowledge
* Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
* Ability to be careful and thorough with detail
* Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment
* Ability to analyze information and use logic to address work related issues and problems.

Work Conditions:

* Primarily sedentary work in a general office environment
* Requires occasional (0-40%) standing, walking, lifting, and moving objects (up to 10 lbs.)
* Requires manual dexterity to use computer, telephone and peripherals
* Must be able to read and interpret documents

Minimum Education:

* Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience

Minimum Related Work Experience:

* 7 (or Master's degree & 5 ) years related experience including designing and implementing automation testing framework
* 3 years leading Quality Assurance team and initiatives
