The opportunity:

We're seeking a highly motivated top-level system reliability and deployment architect to lead a group of QA engineers within the server development team. Responsible for the design, development and maintenance of test suites, test automation, deployment and infrastructures to ensure high quality standards are set and maintained for OpenText Magellan BI & Reporting products.

You are great at:

Work on building a Quality driven engineering culture that helps ship products rapidly and with good confidence.

Be the voice of Quality for a product/feature, assess risks to and ensure shipping features and deployments with a high quality bar.

Plan, develop, and execute test and deployment strategy across core functionalities of the server platform.

Lead Quality assurance efforts that aligns with product objectives and develop scalable solutions.

Help tackle cross-platform engineering challenges, contribute creative ideas to improve product deployment and quality.

Implement and evolve QA processes to get effective test signal and scale testing efforts across multiple server products/features.

Define Quality Metrics and implement measurements to determine test effectiveness, testing efficiency, and measure the overall quality of the Product.

Partner with developers to leverage test automation for scalable solutions to prevent regressions and ensure reliability of product.

What it takes:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.

5+ years of quality assurance, test and deployment engineering experience.

Experience in Java, JavaScript, Linux shell scripts, or equivalent coding language.

Experience in testing and debugging server and web applications.

Organizational, coordination, and multi-tasking experience.

Hands-on experience with test planning, test designing and execution, performance and stress testing, implementing and maintaining quality test automation of both client and server systems.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving experience.

Knowledge of industry standard test automation tools & automation frameworks. Cross platform test development experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.

Knowledge or experience of SOAP and REST API are strong pluses.

Big data experience such as Hadoop, Spark, HDP are highly desirable.
