Spokeo is seeking a Lead QA Developer, Web Applications to join us in Pasadena, CA. As a Lead Developer, the organization (and especially fellow automation developers) will look to you as an example of teamwork, technical ability, thoroughness, and quality while you write automation tests on a cross-functional scrum team. In addition to individual excellence, you will organize and define automation testing and continuous integration best practices for the entire web application team, regularly collaborating with technical leads and engineering managers. Because of your efforts, code coverage will increase, the number of production issues will decrease, and all of our cross-functional scrum teams will produce timely, comprehensive, and elegant automation tests!

Responsibilities:

* Ownership of the end-to-end testing framework and automation tests, measured by test coverage and time for tests to complete.
* Establishing coding guidelines for automation tests, and enforcing these guidelines via code reviews.
* Defining and writing automation tests as a part of a cross-functional scrum team.
* Coordinating automation testing efforts across multiple cross-functional scrum teams.
* Mentoring QA developers in software quality, technical investigation of defects, defining clear test plans, and corner case testing.
* Proposing changes to our development process and CI/CD pipeline.



Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
* 7+ years of software development and testing experience.
* Solid foundation in object-oriented programming, algorithms, and data structures.
* Highly methodical test discipline, applicable across a full-stack web environment including UI components, RESTful APIs, SQL/NoSQL, data testing, and server-side model-view-controller code.
* Proven record of improving product test coverage and managing large suites of automation testing.
* Extensive experience with QA and monitoring tools, and the ability to operate within short release cycles.
* Knowledge of agile methodology and Scrum framework.
* Experience troubleshooting high-usage, high-throughput systems.
* Experience with frontend and server-side performance testing.
* Experience with web application security, both detection, and prevention measures.
