What will I be doing?

* The location for this position can be Memphis, TN or McLean, VA.*

We are looking for a Lead Platform Architect, who will be a solutions designer, and responsible for supporting and implementing company-wide changes to various systems. You will work with several different architecture domains and IT disciplines as part of the Back Office Build team. You will be a critically important resource deployed within the context of business solution delivery projects to ensure overall stability and performance of our elite applications.

As a Lead Platform Architect at Hilton, you will be responsible for the architectural guidance for Back Office applications, as well as for leading the day-to-day activities for ADM support vendors. Driving internal and external specialists and vendors in deep-dive architecture reviews, you make development and design decisions to ensure the optimal outcome. Using your analytical skills, you will work closely with Build Managers, Architects and multi-functional teams to assess the architectural impact of business requirements on underlying Hilton capabilities and platforms, identifying risks and issues with mitigations.

More specifically, you will:

* Advise and contribute to application project plans.
* Adhere to Global Architecture standards and strategy for the company including business, application, product, integration, data, and infrastructure architectures.
* Write (in collaboration with the Solutions Architect) business documents such as software design specifications, system architectures and software requirements specifications.
* Provide mentorship and leadership on software/platform architecture and design to software development teams by referencing and applying standard practices.
* Provide leadership in delivery of project and initiatives.
* Lead partners in strategy/project initiation, architecture, requirements analysis, design, project management and systems integration activities.
* Work with the various internal IT groups to integrate solutions components (e.g., custom architecture, company-wide information), scope cost, timeline and understand implications on architecture.

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

* Five (5) years of IT experience
* Three (3) years of software/platform design and implementation experience
* Two (2) years project management experience
* Business travel of approximately 5%

It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

* BA/BS Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related discipline
* Seven (7) years of general development experience
* Five (5) years of Informatica software/platform design and implementation experience
* Two (2) years of experience with cloud applications
