This position is located in the United States Mint, Office of the Director, Office of the Chief Administrative Officer, Information Technology Department, Application Development Division, Business Systems Branch, as assigned. The ADD provides state-of-the-art application development, information management, quality, repeatable work products, and operational support services that complement the United States Mints business processes.

As a Lead Information Technology Specialist (DATAMGMT), you will:

* Ensure that the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team's strategies, goals, objectives, work plans and work products and services.


* Articulate and communicate to the team the assignment, project, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, priorities and or program issues under review, and deadlines and time frames for completion.


* Lead the team in: identifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established work flow, skill level and or occupational specialization; adjusts the workload in accordance with established priorities to ensure timely accomplishment of assigned team tasks; and ensuring that each employee has an integral role in developing the final team product.
* Train or arrange for the training of team members in methods and techniques of team building and working in teams to accomplish tasks or projects and provides or arranges for specific technical training necessary for accomplishment of individual and team tasks.

The experience may have been gained in either the public or private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 14 days of the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:

* Experience using SQL (Structured Query Language); AND
* Data Analysis using Python or R.; AND
* Developing and creating Data Visualization using data analysis tools like excel, PowerBI and/or Tableau; AND
* Using statistical techniques like regression analysis; AND
* Working with Hadoop tools and MS Azure Analytics tools.

In addition to meeting specialized experience, applicants must also show proficiency in 1) attention to detail, 2) customer service, 3) oral communication, and 4) problem solving.

In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:

For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.
