We partner with commercial equipment manufacturers, and global consumer electronics brands, to transform their products into self-driving robots.

We are seeking a Lead Firmware Development Test Engineer to build out the systems we need to test embedded software running on a growing and diverse fleet of robots. As a core member of our Engineering Division, you will work with our world-class team of engineers and scientists to build a platform for the next generation of intelligent machines. Your experience will be pivotal in advancing our mission: safe and reliable robots everywhere.

Task & Responsibilities

* Designing and delivering test automation solutions that are effective, maintainable, and scalable
* Cross functional collaborations with other groups, such as QA and FW Dev, Automated Test engineering teams, by identifying and driving common goals across teams
* Help identify & continue to refine goals for our team members and provide mentorship
* Develop test scripts in Python
* Design and execute test plans
* Work with developers to optimize workflows and improve the cadence and quality of releases
* Develop infrastructure for running automated tests on real hardware
* Manage and improve continuous integration tools
* Firmware test documentation including test plans, results and reports
* Collaborate with QA, ATE, Software, and Firmware Engineers

What you need

* BS degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering or a related field
* 10+ years of experience as a developer in Software, Firmware, or QA
* Demonstrated experience writing scripts in Python
* Experience working with pytest or other test automation frameworks
* Experience with Linux shell scripting
* Experience with version control systems such as git
* A strong understanding of test methodologies

* Experience with code coverage tools
