The right individual will provide in-depth analysis and engineering-based vision and direction to ensure the cybersecurity of the DoD and IC critical space infrastructure. The individual will be part of a team of experts and multi-disciplinary engineers, analyzing the cyber situational awareness challenges surrounding high-profile space activities, and shaping space defense and resilience policy. The candidate for this position will work a wide variety of systems resiliency and security challenges, many in direct support of developmental or acquisition programs. Candidate would make the following contributions:

* Improve the resilience and security of current DoD, IC, civil and commercial space architectures
* Provide guidance on ensuring systems are specified, designed, developed, implemented, integrated, and sustained to meet security needs, goals and objectives
* Shape the prototyping, development and acquisition of future network architectures
* Analyze space and cyber contributions to multi-domain warfighting
* Coordinate with space and cyber warfighting experts across the National Security Space community
* Assist in space systems security analysis and assessments, including identifying risk criticalities and handling options, to inform decision making
* Analyze space system requirements, software, hardware, supply chain, and integration approaches to identify vulnerabilities and system architecture, design, and implementation flaws

The candidate shall have core skills in:

* Defensive cyber operations for space architectures
* Space-related technologies, satellite operations, and intelligence
* Modeling and simulation of space and cyber effects and operations
* Communication network architectures vulnerabilities
* Space system acquisition, protection, and vulnerabilities
* Network analysis tools and methodologies
* Excellent written communication and presentation skills
* Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers, project leaders, team members, and contractors
* Knowledge of space and cyber threats and hardware, software, supply chain, and systems vulnerabilities

The favored candidate shall have skills in:

* Detailed knowledge of current and developmental DoD and IC space systems and operations
* Expert in developing concepts, integrated C2, operations and intelligence initiatives
* Experience with operational concept development
