Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a background in knowledge and data management, cyber mitigation techniques, be cleared up to TS/SCI with a Full-Scope, have NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS access, and be comfortable working directly with multiple senior-level government sponsors and building prototypes and pilots. The work is centered at in the Washington DC metro area and it is highly desired that the candidate be collocated.

Key Functions:

* Ability to apply system engineering principles to solve system problems
* Working knowledge of the Intelligence Community (IC) structure and system acquisition
* Knowledge of system security engineering and Systems Engineering in Identity and Access Control, applying Security Controls in a Linux OS, and audit configuration/insider-threat detection
* Ability to apply system security engineering techniques to mitigate cyber vulnerabilities
* Strong verbal and written skills

Job Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or similar field, and 8 years of related experience
* Demonstrated knowledge of Cyber Security and enterprise Cyber Security solutions
* Strong knowledge of advanced cyber threats and adversary methodologies
* Ability to document and/or present ideas and findings such that others can easily learn from or make decisions based upon the material
* Ability to develop new ideas and techniques that advance the state of the practice for cyber defensive operations
* TS/SCI with Full-Scope Poly security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

* Configure Centralized Audit Services (e.g. Splunk, SolarWinds)
* Understanding of security fundamentals and application of CNSS 1253.
* Ability to identify cyber risks and identify potential technical or procedural mitigation of the risks
* Experience with security engineering principles through the entire development process: requirements analysis and decomposition, system design, critical design, implementation, resiliency and verification
* Executing vulnerability scanning tools and customization of tools to an organizational environment
* Ability to perform an analysis of alternatives in the selection of scanning tools
* Knowledge / expertise in systems security engineering including requirements analysis and system architecture design
* Provide guidance on ensuring systems are designed, developed and implemented with required security features and safeguards
