Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading organization as we enter the world of connected products. Watts Water Technologies has been leading the water safety and conservation effort since 1874 and continue to invest in technology to move the needle.

The IoT organization within Watts Water Technologies is responsible for the implementation, maintenance and development of connected systems for all Watts Water Technologies companies globally. This important role reports to the IoT architect and will be responsible for building out our connected product strategy for residential and commercial solutions. Performs all other duties as required.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

* Work closely with the IoT core team to ensure each project follows the reference IoT architecture.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical project requirements.
* Work closely with solution partners to review solutions.
* Responsible for the release of new development projects.
* Continuous research on new IoT trends and how they can be applied to future project.
* Work with the Data Scientist to ensure proper alignment on data structures and analytics support.
* Develop installation and monitoring tools for support and operations.
* Provide guidance for hardware and software scalability requirements for production deployment

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field.

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

* 5+ years of experience in Microsoft stack software development
* Working knowledge supporting IT infrastructure technologies and standards including software & hardware life cycle, system configuration policies, security, hardening, high availability, disaster recover, etc.
* Understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends and how it can be applied to Watts brands.
* Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow through with exceptional verbal and written communications.
* Working knowledge of AGILE, SCRUM and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
* Experience focused on Azure cloud environments and supporting infrastructure.
* Experience planning, configuration, optimization and deploying Microsoft Azure solutions (IaaS, PaaS, VMs, active directory, Automation, Monitor, etc.).
* C#/.Net Core (Preferred) or C#/.Net 4.5 or greater


* Experience with IoT protocols such as MQTT, CoAP, XML, SOAP, REST, JSON


* Strong security background - HTTPS, OAUTH2, HMAC, SAML
* Experience with the following is a plus: Curl, Postman, Swagger, Wireshark, Message Analyzer



MANAGEMENT:

This position has no direct reports.

* PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

* May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
* Up to 20% travel, including international travel
