The Enterprise Information Services (EIS) team at Cedars-Sinai understands that true clinical transformation and the optimization of a clinical information systems implementation is fueled through the alignment of the right people, processes and technologies.

Summary of Essential Job Duties:

RIS/ PACS Administrator manages, monitors, troubleshoots, implements, and trains staff on the Picture Archive and Communication (PACS) system. The incumbent will ensure timely and complete capture of Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) digital image data into the PACS system. The Lead Specialist manages network transmission, Radiology Information Systems validation (RIS).

* Provides input to and coordinates the Client Implementation around RIS/PACS Integration
* Maintains thorough knowledge of the various client RIS, PACS and Dictation systems.
* Coordinates key activities related to RIS/PACS & Client Implementation activities with IT department.
* Manages projects across all components of the project lifecycle.
* Overall responsibility for status reporting, requirements gathering, scoping, vendor research, project planning, project documentation, resource planning and impact analysis
* Works collaboratively with all team members to assign tasks, provide oversight, and provide second level support
* Provides recommendations for user adoption and transition strategies. Implements and evaluates change management strategies
* Provides oversight to junior team members to deliver on identified strategies.
* Coordinates team members to gather information and prepare organized, consistent, and accurate status reporting.
* Escalates issues appropriately through the chain of command
* Assists management with translation of the strategic plan to the tactical/functional plan
* Leads and mentor other staff; establishes the career paths of other staff, coaches and develops staff, and ensures career path is utilized
* Develops evaluation criteria of junior team members.

Team Lead/Supervisory/Management Responsibilities:

Acts as a team lead to include overseeing the work of others, assigning or allocating work to team, and ensuring tasks are completed according to deadlines and quality standards

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent combination of relevant experience, education and training is required.

Experience: 8 years of relevant healthcare information systems experience required
