JPS Health Network is a $950 million, tax-supported health care system for Tarrant County in North Texas. Job Description:

Description: The Lead Application Analyst - Data Analytics is responsible for determining internal customer priorities and acts as a partner to provide strategic direction and optimization of assigned and any future applications. This position will also use best practices from industry resources and vendors to support and enhance assigned applications.

Typical Duties:

* Partners with customers to develop and execute strategic direction for assigned applications. Areas of focus include and are not limited to Quality, Care Management and Transitions, Patient Safety, Core Measures, Population Health Infection Prevention and Control.
* Partners with customers to map and continuously improve workflow as it relates to assigned applications including reporting and dashboards.
* Optimizes integration of assigned applications within application and with EMR and other applications as needed.
* Develops strong working relationship with vendor partners to ensure JPS is receiving optimal tools, support and enhancements.
* Analyzes requests for support or enhancements that require system changes and recommends appropriate solutions. Assists Application Analyst with direction and prioritization on assignments based on customer requirements.
* Leads Application Analyst and other external Analysts to assist in optimizing cross application functionality through the use of internal user group meetings.
* Support the network physician enterprise and clinical committees with service line operational and financial analytics providing reporting and outcomes as requested.
* Coordinates design development and implementation of new system features and capabilities.
* Keeps abreast of vendor upgrades, enhancements and offerings and partners with customers to implement as appropriate. Makes recommendations on technology improvements. Reaches out to other organizations that utilize these applications to enhance the use by JPS.
* Self manages projects, tasks and timelines ensuring that approvals from leadership are obtained.
* Maintains an in-depth understanding of business intelligence principles and industry best practices and makes recommendations to gain efficiencies in reporting processes and infrastructure.
* Assists in identification and research of data integrity problems and recommends solutions.
* Provides application documentation for support and training. Partners with customers to develop and administer orientation for assigned applications.
* Management and maintenance of resource databases.
* Coordinate with Compliance, Accounting, Entity Operations and outside vendors to obtain all physician contracts, payment data, and external benchmark survey data routinely.
* Performs all other job related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field of study from an accredited University.
* Six (6) plus years of healthcare experience.
* Four (4) plus years of experience working in Healthcare Quality, Care Management, or IT Application.
Preferred Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:
* Two (2) plus years of experience working with hospital application software, specifically Midas and Epic.
* Two (2) plus years of experience using Microsoft Professional Office Suite to include Project, Word, Excel, Visio PowerPoint, OneNote, SharePoint, and Project Center.
