National Grid is hiring a Lead Analyst for our Systems and Requirements department in Brooklyn, NY.

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Manager, Systems and Requirements, Finance Tech Enablement, Lead Analyst, Systems and Requirements is responsible for documentation of system requirements by partnering with the business and the Systems and Requirements team. Assists the Manager, Systems and Requirements in identifying and capturing systems requirements and identifying technology needs and implementation. Has specific expertise and historical knowledge in the systems and requirements within U.S. Finance.

Key Accountabilities

* Responsible for supporting legacy systems and integrations with new systems or tools through Finance Operations's Manager, Systems Maintenance and IS.
* Supports end-user support including access, monitoring and resolving system or module issues.
* Assists in the development of system process flows and controls with Process Engineering and Controls Excellence.
* Provides user and data reporting to leadership to assess the effectiveness of financial systems.
* Partners with Finance Systems Maintenance to ensure system configurations and enhancements meet compliance standards and mitigates control risks.
* Leads system documentation and reviews compliance requirements to assist with audits.
* Assists the Director, Technology Enablement and the PMO in finance technology projects.
* Partners with Finance Operations on evaluating system enhancements and system maintenance for controls and process compliance.
* Provides counsel to employees, manages third party consultants and contractors, and advises senior leaders as necessary.
* Builds and manages results-driven teams by taking a strategic and technical view of performance management by involving employees in planning, relationship building, decision-making, forecasting, and analysis processes.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree preferred with 5 years in IT, MIS or Finance with increasing responsibility and oversight in Financial Systems
* Experience working with accounting / finance systems and general ledgers
* Technical and functional proficiency in financial modules
* Detailed knowledge of finance processes and terminology
* Strong project management and problem solving skills
* Effective collaboration and partnership capabilities
* Excellent written / oral communication skills and follow-up
* Experience reviewing and resolving data discrepancies
* Ability to build and develop teams of mutli-skilled financial professionals
* SAP or other financial systems
* Finance and Accounting processes
* Technical interface support
* US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley and SEC regulations
* Process Management
* Risk mitigation
