POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Lawson Systems Specialist II, you will be responsible for conducting of feasibility studies, formulating system scope and objectives, preparing program specifics, and developing methods and procedures for the department.

* Requires in-depth professional knowledge and practical/applied expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines within the broader professional field
* Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; demonstrates awareness of the industry, including regulatory, evolving customer demands, and the factors that differentiate the organization in the market

JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Develop and implement new systems, system changes, upgrades, and affected interfaces.
* Research system change requests, formulate system scope and objectives, and prepare program specifications to develop or modify systems in support of the business process.
* Develop customized reports for both internal and external customers
* Analyze user's problems, determining and recommending optimum approach to resolving problems based on system capabilities and user needs.
* Implement, troubleshoot, and interface specialized standalone systems
* Participate in integrated testing for major updates to the Hospital Information System (HIS) and Clinical Information System (CIS)

EXPERIENCE:

* Candidates must have at least 4 to 7 years of job related experience
* Experience using Lawson in a supply chain environment preferred
* Previous healthcare industry experience preferred

EDUCATION:

* Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
