Job Description

Overview

The Junior Software Developer, under the general supervision of a project manager, supervisor or technical architect, develops, tests, and supports new and existing custom applications. The Software Developer is assigned tasks of moderate complexity and receives assistance when necessary from a project manager, technical architect or senior developer. The Software Developer brings innovative ideas to the attention of his or her project manager, supervisor or technical architect before implementing them. The Software Developer demonstrates clear communication skills, the ability to build good relationships with team members and end users, and possesses problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.

Responsibilities

* Provide application development and support
* Track calls and update tickets accordingly
* Update supervisor and/or project managers
* Provide production support to end users as necessary
* Attend weekly team meetings
* Report daily status of assigned tasks
* Follow all team coding standards
* Follow documented work schedule policies

Qualifications

* Possess one of the following: Associates degree (Computer Science/Information Systems); Bachelor degree (preferably Computer Science/Information Systems); equivalent work experience
* Minimum 2 years of professional experience with Microsoft SQL 2005+
* Minimum 1 year of professional experience with SQL Reporting Services or similar reporting tool
* T-SQL knowledge is required
* .Net Framework (VB.NET, ADO.NET, XAML, WPF, and WCF)
* Microsoft Visual Studio 2008+
* ASP, VB Script, HTML, DHTML, XML
* HTML, CSS, JavaScript, preferably AngularJS
* Version Control exposure (Visual Source Safe or Team Foundation Server)
* Organized and detail-oriented
* Works independently and in a team environment
* Takes responsibility for professional development
