What you'll do

The Trade Processing Engineer will be responsible for engineering, developing, and supporting Point72's trade processing platform.The trade processing platform is undergoing many new initiatives to increase transaction scale, capacity, and supporting new trading strategies. In addition, the platform is undergoing several technical upgrades and re-platforming initiatives.Responsibilities include: designing strategic and tactical feature releases, working with business teams to develop system requirements, and continuously improving the platform's support framework. You will be expected to do the following:

* Integrate new business requirements with technical design specifications
* Identify technology solutions for enhancements or new initiatives
* Develop technical solutions using test-driven and agile software development methodologies
* Support technology and software deployments and end-user questions
* Participate in identifying new technologies and methodologies to continuously improve software systems
* Implement and enforce data controls and safeguards

What's required

* 1 - 4 years experience in a formal software development environment
* C# development experience
* React, Node/JS exposure an/or desire to work with these technologies
* SQL
* Curious and inquisitive demeanor
* Strong desire to learn, grow, and develop new skills
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent work experience
* Experience developing and designing object-oriented software on small teams
* Use of Agile / Scrum development methodologies
* Strong problem solving skills and ability to identify an issue through complicated environments
* Strong communication skills
* Commitment to the highest ethical standards
