Job Description

Overview

The Bio-Rad Global IT team seeks enthusiastic, high-potential recent college graduates to join the Junior IT Development Program.

This program features multiple rotational assignments as a way to develop entry-level talent over the course of the formative years of their career. Program participants can expect to be challenged, provide valuable contributions to the business, and in return get exposure to technology on a global scale and personal mentorship from industry veterans.

Program admittees will have demonstrated IT proficiency, and also proven business acumen to provide solutions to non-technical customers.

Responsibilities

* Analyze information using advanced data analytics techniques (R, Python, etc.) to provide data-driven solutions to business needs.
* Interpret systems information to determine, recommend, and implement modification of existing systems.
* Work in high-performance work teams, employing agile SDLC methodologies.
* Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware, or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance.
* Develop or direct software system testing or validation procedures.
* Direct software programming and development of documentation.
* Consult with customers or other departments on project status, proposals, or technical issues, such as software system design or maintenance.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other related field (current students with expected graduation dates May 2019 or after are encouraged to apply).
* Programming expertise in one or more of the following: JavaScript, Python, R, C++, .NET.
* Cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.0 or higher.
* Willingness to participate in a rotational program for a period of up to 5 years.
