About your role:

A Jr. Content Programmer is responsible for curating engaging entertainment content on our mobile app, website, and social platforms. They will also work in real time to send push notifications, program content, and post to social platforms.

Responsibilities:

* Assist in setting the tone, look and feel of Fandom's distribution channels (social accounts, mobile, and desktop).
* Write copy for alerts/hooks/captions on all platforms and work in real time to ensure voice remains in line with internal programming strategy.
* Program Fandom's written content and package content based on strategy.
* Promote, create and engage with Fandom's community content (i.e. discussions, polls, quizzes, etc.)
* Communicate and make real-time programming decisions across platforms, internally.

You are…

* 1-2 years of experience in writing/editing, or a related field.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
* Pop culture fanatic with a strong understanding of all major fandoms, especially within Movies, TV, and Video Games.
* Have a keen awareness of Fandom's voice. When big entertainment news happens, how would Fandom react on multiple platforms?
* Tech savvy. It's important that the candidate is well versed in the world of Internet consumption.
* Monitoring Twitter and Instagram, major entertainment sites, and other social aggregation tools are examples of activities an ideal candidate would perform on a daily basis.
* Deep understanding of current and emerging entertainment networks.
* An ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
* Possess strong writing and communication skills.
* Able to work a flexible schedule (some nights and weekends) is a must
* Editing skills/experience is a plus; formal editing background is not required but a keen eye for punctuation and grammar is crucial.
* Photoshop skills will get you bonus points.
